HOW IT WORKS

We’ll work together to select a moment to capture. Your guests will see the painting come to life over the course of your special day. After the event, I take care to touch up and polish the artwork in my studio.

THE PROCESS

  • I will send a questionnaire to you a few weeks prior to the wedding. Together, we plan the scene to capture, color theme, background, pose, and any must-have details. I’ll also coordinate with your planner and venue so everything is seamless on the day.

    Example scenes include the first kiss, ceremony exit, holding hands, looking at each other, or looking at the viewer.

    Your date is locked in with a 25% non-refundable retainer, along with any travel fees for locations outside NYC.

  • I arrive early to the venue to set up and to take reference videos and photos for your painting. Ideally, I am part of the photo session so that I can take the best reference photos.

    As I am painting, I invite your guests to interact with me and watch as the painting unfolds. Guests can watch the artwork come to life in real time, turning the painting into both entertainment and an evolving focal point of your reception.

    I use professional grade gallery wrapped canvas and the highest-quality professional-grade oil paints.

    Before I head out, I will show you the painting progress, and take the painting back to my studio to complete it.

  • Your painting comes back to my studio for refined details, drying time, and a protective varnish so it’s ready to hang as an heirloom piece in your home. With your final confirmation, your artwork is carefully packaged and shipped or handed to you (if within NYC). I also provide care instructions to keep your painting well-protected for years.

    Completion of the painting following the wedding can take up to 12 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the painting. I will keep you updated with an estimate.

  • Live wedding painting is a custom artwork created in real time during your wedding, as the celebration unfolds. A professional artist sets up an easel at your ceremony or reception and paints the scene in front of your guests, capturing the atmosphere, architecture, and emotion of the day. The result is both interactive entertainment for your guests and a one-of-a-kind heirloom painting that you take home as a lasting reminder of your wedding. Live wedding painters typically are present and painting for the majority of the time of the celebration.

  • Most live wedding painting packages are priced at $1500 - $6000, plus travel. This is typically dependent on experience, style, and location. Local to New York City, starting prices tend to be higher.

    What are my prices? I started live wedding painting in 2025. While I’m certain that my artwork speaks for itself in quality and style, I understand that I am new to this field. I am, however, experienced in painting a true likeness and life in a painting. My ideal client appreciates my fresh perspective, receives a fair discount, and receives stunning, professional work. I’m happy to share quotes when you inquire below.

  • I focus on realism and capturing a likeness of the subjects of the painting. I really try my hardest to get this right - your painting should look and feel like you on your special day.

    I incline toward a vibrant style, and have been told that my paintings have a warm glow.

    I’m excited to work with you to design your painting if you already have a vision of a style you would like captured.

  • Yes! Please inquire below.

  • Yes! I recommend giving the couple a heads up a few weeks before so that they can give their input on the painting prior to the wedding in a consultation call. Additionally this is done so that the wedding planner and coordinator are aware.

  • This is typically subject to the composition, orientation, and size of the painting. If you are interested in this, please mention when you inquire. A fee will apply for each additional person beyond the couple.

  • Yes! Travel within New York City is included. Additional travel fees apply for locations beyond NYC.

  • Prior to the wedding, I will need to be connected to the wedding planner / coordinator and the venue coordinator.

    During the wedding, I require a 5 ft x 5 ft space with access to an outlet for my lighting. If the wedding is outdoors, I require a shaded space away from sun or rain.

  • Yes, I can provide a Certificate of Insurance to venues which require liability insurance.
